All of the libraries at the University of Louisville will be closed on Tuesday, November 4th for the Presidential election.  Go vote!

UofL Libraries resources are now easily accessible in Blackboard. Starting Thursday, Oct. 30, a UofL Libraries tab will be at the top of the Blackboard screen. It will take you with an easy click to the thousands of electronically accessible journal articles, books, and guides to specific subjects available from the Libraries Web page. Faculty interested in working with a librarian to link to resources specific to a class, please contact Anna Marie Johnson, 852-1491 or annamarie@louisville.edu.

Minerva, the library catalog, will be unavailable from 10pm Friday, October 17th until 2am Saturday, October 18th.  This is part of the preventive maintenance plan.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

Retrospective Index to Music Periodicals: International coverage of the music periodical literature published from the late 18th- to mid-20th- centuries in Europe and the United States.

The University Libraries have an online subscription to the Chicago Manual of Style which includes a searchable version of the manual as well as the Chicago Style Q&A.

The Ainslie Hewett Bookplate Collection (http://digital.library.louisville.edu/collections/hewett/ ) features Gothic and heraldic bookplates designed by Louisville native (George) Ainslie Hewett (1880-1963) for notable Louisville residents, as well as for clients across the United States.

We are pleased to announce that James Procell will start on August 1 as the Music Librarian. He recently received his MLS with an emphasis in music librarianship from Indiana University. He also has a Masters of Music in Clarinet Performance from Southeastern Louisiana University and a bachelor's degree in music education.
