All of the libraries at the University of Louisville will be closed on Tuesday, November 4th for the Presidential election.  Go vote!

UofL Libraries resources are now easily accessible in Blackboard. Starting Thursday, Oct. 30, a UofL Libraries tab will be at the top of the Blackboard screen. It will take you with an easy click to the thousands of electronically accessible journal articles, books, and guides to specific subjects available from the Libraries Web page. Faculty interested in working with a librarian to link to resources specific to a class, please contact Anna Marie Johnson, 852-1491 or annamarie@louisville.edu.

Minerva, the library catalog, will be unavailable from 10pm Friday, October 17th until 2am Saturday, October 18th.  This is part of the preventive maintenance plan.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

Kornhauser Health Sciences Library now has a contract to provide library services for Jewish Hospital.  A new web page is available that anyone from Jewish Hospital should use.  We are also providing Interlibrary Loans.  Instructions on available on this page about how to register.  The page URL is

Woodblocks from John P. Morton and Co., a historic Louisville-based book publisher, are on display in the small cases on the first floor of the new wing opposite the circulation desk in Ekstrom Library. Morton and Co. published books on all subjects and specialized in health sciences and children's books. Accompanying prints were made by Nathalie Andrews, director of the Portland Museum, made the prints that are displayed. Robert Doherty, former head of fine arts, obtained the woodblocks for UofL when Morton and Co. was closing.
